Griffith – Jansz Crescent

Architecturally designed renovation and extension. Although the added floor space wasn’t large the project affected all parts of the home. To the delight of its owners, this standard project house has been transformed into a designer home.

Main features of the build were:

  • roof to the rear of the house was cut in half and raised to provide a  high raked ceiling with picture window
  • internal walls were removed to enlarge the living area
  • upstairs bathroom was relocated to new part of the house
  • new extension to the main bedroom to provide walk-in robe and ensuite
  • New spotted gum timber flooring was installed throughout the main living areas
  • replaced the existing timber deck
  • upgraded the kitchen with new bench top, appliances and small change to layout
  • new climatic controlled wine cellar
  • down stairs internal make over and extension to go from 2 bedrooms and laundry to cellar, bedroom, living room and ensuite
  • replaced existing tiled roof with colour bond steel

Client Testimonial

Dear Stuart I am writing to thank you for the outstanding job done by you and your company in renovating and extending our home. The quality and detail of the work was outstanding. This ranged from the extensive reworking of the roofline and ceiling in the family room to complete renovations of all bathrooms, to the installation of a new ensuite, to new timber floors throughout most of the house, to an extensive new deck, to a new bbq area, to a climate controlled cellar, to an entirely new roof and to an enclosed car port and front landscaping. I was particularly impressed with the quality control, especially the two occasions on which you had important work redone without us noticing anything in the first place. This showed an approach to the work which says a lot about your own personal integrity and the integrity of your company. In turn, the quality of the work obviously owed a lot to the people in your company, especially your co director, Luke, and to the quality of your contractors. As you know, we remained in the house throughout the refurbishment. Betty was especially struck by the politeness of everyone involved in the job, which was also remarked upon by our neighbours. Finally, for a job as extensive as our own to be completed on time and on budget is no small feat. In summary, thank you for a job exceedingly well done. Best wishes Dennis Richardson
